As I have only just started blogging since June of this very year, I was not expecting to be nominated for an award at all. I am pretty new to the blogging world. This out of the way, I owe a special thank you to Jackie, over at How to become easily. She nominated me, as she finds my blog positive, inspiring and creative. This is an incredible compliment for someone that has been around as a blogger so shortly. Be sure to check out Jackie’s blog over here.
Jackie, so I have learned, is someone who knows where to put her trust and she is not ashamed to share her religion with the grand public on the Internet. I appreciate this in her. I can only say, as a fellow Christian, that I am incredibly proud of how easy she speaks of His holy grace. Jackie, thank you for nominating me, and thank you for teaching me and so many others about Him.
Jackie asked me a few questions, to share with her and the other readers over here. These are the questions. Believe me, it took me quite some time to answer them, as I was not prepared for them. I hope Jackie doesn’t mind that I slightly rearranged her questions, as the answers made a better story like this.
- What made you start blogging?
In the past I have had a few personal blogs. Though there were some things I just wasn’t prepared for to share with the world. My life has not been easy. I have had my struggles, though I bet all of you have your own struggles. So in the end, these blogs blead out, sort of speak. I didn’t update anymore and decided to take them down of the Internet all the way.
Over time, I decided that I should start blogging again. Deciding on what to blog about was quite the interesting journey. In June 2017 I decided to just do it and it turns out my focus was on mans lifestyle in general. After actually starting the blog, and finding out that my blog apparently receives more female attention than male, I decided to scrap the mans focus, and just focus on lifestyle.
- What inspires you to write?
What inspires me to write can be anything at all. Just looking around at the world and noticing this that are a bit ‘off’ can make for some great discussions. Reflecting the things I find ‘off’ in the world on myself makes for some pretty good articles as well.
- What is your vision in life?
My vision in life is that everyone is different and unique in their own way. Everybody should be treated as worthy in their own unique way as well. I am willing, maybe I even find myself obliged, to discuss anything lifestyle related and maybe even help out where someone has problems in the discussed topics.
- What is your favorite food and may be what is the recipe?
My favorite food is lasagna. It’s more carb loaded than I should eat, but eating it once in a while is a real treat! Unfortunately, I don’t have a recipe for it, but I love my mom’s lasagna, as it has leek in it. Yes, leek!
- Who is your role model?
I actually have more than one role model in several areas of my life. Though the most important one, and one that I just shouldn’t leave unmentioned, is Jesus. As he has already done so incredibly much for me, I am obliged to Him to live by His rules as much as humanly possible.
Other role models are Joseph Gordon Levitt ( he has an impeccable overal style), Ryan Reynolds (for his weird sense of humour), Chris Evans (as a fitness ‘idol’) Kiel James Patrick (for living an awesome Southern life) and Greg Berzinsky (for his amazing beard). Even though these areas are actually pretty superficial, especially compared to my one true Role Model, they diserve a small mention here.
Even though there is so much more to these questions, I should probably end right around here. This blog is supposed to be about discussions over a cup of coffee and I am way past the bottom of my cup by now. No worries though, I will pour myself some new cups in the future and will probably deepen out the questions Jackie asked me a bit more, and discuss them some more. And drink some more coffee of course!
